本周稀土市场金属价格均有所回落。亚洲金属网价格:镨钕金属343-348元/KG，镝铁合金价格1330-1360元/KG，铽金属价格3680-3780元/KG。

This week the prices of rare earth materials fell after rise. Prices from Asian Metal of this weekend present: PrNd 343-348RMB/KG, DyFe 1330-1360RMB/KG and Tb metal 3680-3780RMB/KG.

稀土储备启动价格开始反弹 后市应兼顾供需谨慎乐观

Rare earth reserves start and price begin to rebound, consideration must be given to both supply and demand in future market with cautiousness and optimism

截止5月17日，镨钕氧化物均报价26.75万元/吨，较4月1日均报价25.9万元/吨，上扬3.28%；氧化镝17日均报价131.5万元/吨，较4月1日均报价120万元/吨，上扬9.58%。但从长期历史数据看,目前稀土价格处于历史底部,预计随着商储的进行，价格还可以持续上行。

Until May 17th , the price of PrNd oxide was 267500RMB/T, which increased 3.28% compared to the price on April 1st with 259000RMB/T. And the price of Dy oxide of May 17th was 1315000RMB/T, which increased 9.58% compared to April 1st with 1200000RMB/T. However according to the long-term historical data, the current rare earth prices are still at the bottom of the history which are expected to be continuously rising due to the rare earth business purchasing and storage.

从当前稀土上市企业的定期报告看，超低价格是亏损的主因，尤其是南方地区企业。因此，稀土收储对于行业来讲无疑是雪中送炭，可以阶段性的改良供求关系从而推动市场行情回暖。

From the current regularly report of rare earth listed companies, the ultra low price is the main reason for the loss, especially in the southern region enterprises. Therefore, rare earth purchasing and storage is undoubtedly playing a very significant role in the industry, which can improve the relationship between supply and demand as well as promote the market rebound.

在稀土商储的消息和行动刺激下，稀土材料的价格开始反弹。被压抑过久的市场迎来了绝地反击的机会，难免会造成供需双方角色和地位的交换。因此，对于供应商来讲，捂货待涨暂时会占据主动。但是根据目前的供需状况，以及收储品种对应的数量，不是所有的产品都会发生明显的供需变化。据了解，稀土大的应用领域钕铁硼永磁材料的原材料镨钕、镝、铽的供给变化较为明显。

Stimulated by the rare earth business purchasing and storage, the rare earth materials prices began to rebound. Along with the great opportunity the market start to rebound after being suppressed for such long time and it will inevitably lead to the changes in the role and status of supplier and demand side. Therefore storing goods on their own would temporarily hold an active position to suppliers. According to the current situation of supply and demand as well as the number of storage varieties, there was not an obvious change in the supply and demand for all of the products but for PrNd, Dy, Tb, which is the raw materials of NdFeB permanent magnet, the largest application of rare earth.

然而钕铁硼企业现在非常脆弱，他们不仅利润薄、恶性竞价的产品已经蔓延至高性能产品领域；而且他们对于原材料成本上升的转嫁能力太弱，往往只能自己承担。尤其是民营企业，不敢轻易囤原材料，涨起来跌下去都挺不住，赚不到也亏不起。因此，近稀土材料价格的上涨并没有带来更多的采购的增量，钕铁硼企业还是按部就班、按需采购；有库存准备的就使用库存，大多数企业不看好行情的持续性。

However, NdFeB enterprises are facing the situation of thin profits and vicious competition which had been spread in the field of high performance products. Meanwhile they are hardly to transfer the rising costs of raw material but only bear by themselves. Especially in the private enterprises, they can't easily store raw materials as they can't afford to pay the rising and falling cost, they are unable to make a profit nor bear a loss. Therefore the recent increasing of rare earth materials price didn't bring to more purchasing volume and the NdFeB enterprises still goes step and step and purchase according to its demands or use their own stock if they have. Most of the companies are not optimistic about the market sustainability.

供给侧发生变化，有助于改良供需结构；但是，如果需求侧不发生变化，这种改良就不能持续。因此，后市应该兼顾供需、谨慎乐观、有度。

If the supply side changes, it will help to improve the structure of supply and demand. But if the demand side does not change, this improvement can't be sustained. Therefore consideration must be given to both supply and demand in future market with cautiousness and optimism.
